Yoga is an activity that you may have actually been doing for years and just not realized it. The movements and poses of yoga are simple and organic which makes it very easy to get started. With this being said, it is still best to start off slow and not push your body too hard in the beginning. 

Some styles of yoga can involve very complex movements that require patience and practice to master. These upper level classes also require a great deal of stamina and strength to get through. It is best, as with most things, to start slow and build your abilities over time, rather than diving right in and risking injury.
