Although typically associated with quiet meditation, yoga can burn some pretty serious calories.  The amount of calories burned depends on the type and intensity of yoga done. Some forms of yoga are more rigorous than others and will therefore, burn more calories. On average, though, yoga burns approximately 348 calories per hour for a typical 145-pound person.
