While parents may not desire it, young children can begin play wrestling with each other at a very young age. Competitive wrestling begins at around age seven. Children learn basic techniques and begin to train physically. As they advance, kids begin to wrestle each other competitively, and learn different moves and strategies.
While wrestling can be a very exciting sport, it is unfortunately also very physically demanding. Thus, it’s not generally a sport that is enjoyed past high school. Unless you plan to wrestle in college, or on a professional level, you may want to limit your wrestling competition as you age.
