"Where did the day go?" 

Is this a common question in your  life? Many of us jam-pack so much into our daily routines that there’s seemingly no time to relax for even one minute, let alone exercise. Lack of time is one of the most common excuses for not having a decent fitness regimen. But do you realize that in the time it might take you to go through your e-mail, you could fit in a great workout? Instead of sitting in front of your laptop, go for a power walk after dinner with your spouse, or ride bikes with the kids. Your body will reap numerous benefits just by becoming more active. This approach is perfect for days when you don’t have time for a regular workout, or when you want to start off slowly and build up a routine. It;s all about convenience; if you try, you can fit exercise into your schedule no matter where you are. Do it at home or at work, outside or in the living room. Start building exercise spurts into your daily routine and you’ll start feeling better.

FITTODO is not just about making the time to improve ourselves, but instead changing the way we approach each and every aspect of every day to build towards better results. We need to remove the barriers of making time by finding foods, drinks, routines, goals, sports and activities that we enjoy doing and look forward to doing each and every day. 

Some suggestions include: 

  • Enjoy healthy and easy-to-prepare foods.
  • Keep your meals simple. 
  • Plan your meals ahead of time.
  • Eat healthy foods you enjoy that are easy to clean up. 
  • Eat healthy foods you enjoy that are easy to bring with you wherever the day takes you.
  • Plan your sports and activities ahead of time.
  • Lay out your exercise clothing the night before your work out – you can even sleep in them!
  • Do sports and activities that are as close to home or work as possible to save time.
  • Have all of the gear and equipment you need for your workouts ready to go – try keeping it in your car at all times! 
  • If you work out with others, make sure it is at times convenient for you. 
  • Spend more time with family and friends by participating in activities with them. 
  • Multitask while doing sports and activities – check that email while you’re on the stationary bike!
