The Belly Fat Cure is a book written by Jorge Cruise that claims that people can lose four to nine pounds of belly fat each week without eating less or exercising. Cruise’s theory is that dieters only need to reduce the sugar and processed carbohydrates they eat. Other than this, dieters may eat whatever they want and still lose weight. The book recommends “swaps” for common sugary or high-carb foods, and provides weekly meal plans.

Pros:

The Belly Fat Cure will result in weight loss if followed correctly. Recipes include foods for vegetarians and vegans too.

Cons:

This diet is not based on research and is generally not accepted by nutritionists and dietitians. It is also important to note that weight loss does not generally occur on only one part of the body, but overall.
